Housing Choice Voucher (Section 8 Program)
PLEASE NOTE: Effective Friday, October 31st, 2025 at Noon (12:00 PM), the Geneva Housing Authority will no longer be accepting applications for the Section 8 HCV Programs for Ontario County and Wayne County. Both Section 8 HCV waiting lists will remain closed until further notice. NYSHCR allows the closing of a waiting list when the estimated waiting period reaches 24 months for the most current applicants, and our waiting list currently exceeds 2,600 families. APPLICATIONS ARE STILL BEING ACCEPTED FOR: Lyceum Heights, Spa Apartments, Hope Village, Sodus Benton Estates, Williamson Orchard Estates, Elmcrest Apartments, Geneva Courtyard Apartments, Liberty Apartments, Seneca Apartments, St. Francis Senior Housing, Waterloo Memorial Heights and our Scattered Sites programs. The housing choice voucher program is the federal government's major program for assisting very low-income families, the elderly, and the disabled to afford decent, safe, and sanitary housing in the private market. Geneva Housing Authority is the local administrator for the Housing Choice Voucher Program in both Ontario and Wayne counties. Click on the appropriate application link below.
